Stepping the Earth is a travel blog for those that want to know where they are going and how they are getting there. The travellers that research and plan. The spreadsheet keepers, list writers and the “I hope I don’t forget anything” travellers. Stepping the Earth will give you the tips to ensure you can travel broadly with confidence.
International travel is currently on the back burner, meaning our back yards have never looked more appealing. Travellers are finding new destinations close to home and enjoying time in areas that have previously not been considered holiday destinations. Local communities are calling all travellers to stop and explore. To enjoy local and national spots and to spend money supporting small businesses.
Stepping the Earth was set up during Covid 19 – which does seem crazy. But the pandemic made us stop and think about our lives and what we wanted to achieve. Travel has always been high on our priority list so we have decided to spend a year travelling the world. We have a plan that we will share with you as we achieve our goals. Date to leave is currently January 2025 – yes I know – it is 3.5 years away. We need to get our youngest child through school and settled into either uni or a job and then we are off. We will keep you up to date with our planning and itinerary as it is developed. The countdown is on.
